This Tuna Salad Wrap is one of my favorite lunch choices. It is my favorite because it is refreshing, fulfilling, and super easy to prepare. I always use wild caught tuna in water.
With tuna and salmon we have to be very careful about their orgins, where and how they were raised. Most farm-raised tunas and salmons contain high level of mercury, other toxics and antibiotics. Because the fish are raised in over crowded water, they are heavily polluted by their own waste; therefore, they are given heavy antibiotics to prevent infections.
INGREDIENTS
1 can wild-caught tuna in water, drained
1 avocado, chopped
1 small cucumber, chopped
1/2 small tomato, seeded and chopped
Some sliced olives
1/2 teaspoon dry dill or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Sea salt and pepper to taste
A dash of dry mustard
1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Romaine lettuce to wrap
Mix all the ingredients together. Spoon on lettuce leaves and enjoy as wraps or eat without the lettuce as a salad. Either way is refreshing, tasty and healthy.
