Firm up The Outer-Thighs With This Easy Exercise

“What exercise can I do to firm up my outer-thighs?” It’s one question my clients frequently ask me. I am going to show you an easy yet very effective exercise that will firm up your outer-thighs. You can do this exercise anytime and anywhere without equipment.

Stand next to something that is fairly sturdy so that you can place one hand on it to support your balance, such as a chair, a stair rail or counter.

Let us start with the right leg. Place your left hand on the back of your support. Right hand on right hip. Stand tall with feet together. Shift your weight onto your left leg, then:

  1. Swipe your right leg out and up as high as you can without tilting the pelvis. Ankle is flexing throughout. Close the leg and repeat the swiping motions for 10 to 15 times. Next…

Ankle is flexing throughout. Return to standing as you lower your leg. Repeat sidekicks for 10 to 15 times. On the last repetition, stay in that horizontal line and…
  3. Pulse right leg up and down in a smaller range but faster pace for 10 to 15 times.

Repeat the entire series with your left leg. You will notice that even though your right leg was the one that did all the movements, the left hip was sore as well. Muscles on your left leg were working hard isometrically to support your body weight and hold your balance.
