Thuy Burritt
WellFit4EVER® is created and operated solely by Thuy Burritt.
Thuy, pronounced ‘twee’, is a fully certified STOTT PILATES® instructor, a certified Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®) Mobility Specialist, a Total Barre® instructor, and a certified Primal Health Coach from Primal Health Coach Institute™. Thuy has started her Pilates teaching career since 2009. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
During college, Thuy suffered from back pain and through Pilates training, discovered she has scoliosis. Following the birth of her second child (her second C-section), Thuy’s back pain worsened. She also suffered from a postpartum condition known as diastasis-reti where the abdominal muscles separate. Her physical suffering set Thuy on a journey of discovering how Pilates could strengthen and heal her.
Training & Qualifications
Armed with the realization that her journey to health and wellness could help others, Thuy began putting all her efforts into becoming a certified Pilates teacher. She chose her path with STOTT PILATES®, an international Pilates institution known for its highest and most up-to-date Pilates training. Over a period of three years while living with her husband and two children in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Thuy completed STOTT PILATES® comprehensive training and become a fully certified instructor, qualified in Pilates mat and apparatus, including reformer, Cadillac, chair, and barrel, from beginner to advanced levels. Thuy is also a qualified Pilates instructor for injured and special needs populations.
Thuy continued to broaden her study and training, qualifying as a Total Barre® instructor, a certified Primal Health Coach and Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®) Mobility specialist. When appropriate, she incorporates Barre movements and FRC® mobility techniques into Pilates lessons to maximize benefits for her clients. Upon request, she offers complementary advice on nutrition and lifestyle.
For nearly ten years, Thuy helped hundreds of clients in Abu Dhabi, UAE, including Western expats from around the world, as well as local Emiratis. She taught private and group classes at several royal palaces and at her boutique studio.
In January 2018, Thuy and her family moved back to their home in Manassas, Virginia. Similar to her business model in the United Arab Emirates, she set up a boutique private in-home studio where she offers private lessons. She also offers virtual private lessons and group classes.
